The Heersink House for Intangible Heritage: a new…
We are the Dutch Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage (KIEN). Since 2012, we have coordinated the implementation of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Our office is located at the Netherlands Open Air Museum in Arnhem. Our mission? To enhance knowledge, awareness, and visibility of intangible heritage.
We believe intangible heritage is invaluable. It shapes our identity, fosters creativity, strengthens social cohesion, and connects past, present, and future. That’s why we deepen understanding of intangible heritage—to ensure its transmission to future generations.
