Description

The Top 2000 is one of the largest radio and music events in the Netherlands that around 10 million people watch and listen to every year. The list of 2000 songs is compiled every year by the public and can be heard from Christmas Day to New Year's Eve on NPO Radio 2.

The Top 2000 will have its 21st edition in 2019 and has over the years become a true radio tradition between Christmas and Oud & amp; New. The Top 2000 is part of our society during the week of broadcast. People get up with it and go to bed with it, they even stay up (longer) for it. Many go to the Top 2000 café in Hilversum from where the Top 2000 is broadcast non-stop during the week of broadcast.

With 10 million listeners / viewers between 10 and 80 years old it connects people from all walks of life of the population: young / old, families, colleagues, generations. The Top 2000 provides an overview of the music preferences of various age groups every year. For twenty years, the Top 2000 has offered older generations the opportunity to bring their music preferences to the attention of younger generations, and vice versa.

Every year the listeners are happy with it and millions of votes come in. You can vote from 1 December at noon in the Top 2000 Ballot Box, which runs throughout the entire voting week. Listeners who are not visited by the ballot box can also make their voices heard via the Top 2000 website. The lists of previous editions can also be viewed on that site.
