The extension follows a periodic review of accredited NGOs. This review assesses the extent to which organizations actively contribute to the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage, demonstrate substantive expertise, and work in cooperation with communities, groups and practitioners. The continuation of KIEN’s accreditation confirms our role within the international network dedicated to intangible cultural heritage.
In addition to KIEN’s accreditation, we are also pleased that the accreditation of FuHiKuBo (Bonaire), NAKS (Suriname), NAAM and Museo Tula (Curaçao) has been extended. Together, we will continue in the coming years to focus on knowledge exchange, collaboration and on highlighting the dynamics and significance of intangible cultural heritage.
A selection of activities that contributed to the extension:
- Spotting Intangible Heritage
- The Heersink House for Intangible Heritage
- Water & Land
- Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage Netherlands
- Immaterieel Erfgoeddag
- Ambachtelijk Vakmanschap Nederland
